Wellsnap is a mobile health tracking app that empowers users—especially those managing diabetes or hypertension—to log and monitor their blood pressure and glucose levels with ease. Developed by DevDec, the app uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and AI to extract readings from monitor screens through a simple photo snap, eliminating manual entry. Wellsnap also includes features such as trend analytics, medication reminders, and a clean, ad-free experience.

The idea for Wellsnap originated from a personal need: our founder was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and found it difficult to consistently log health data manually. Frustrated with the cluttered, ad-heavy, and unintuitive apps in the market, we saw an opportunity to create a more intuitive, AI-powered solution. Wellsnap makes health tracking seamless: - Users snap a photo of their monitor screen (blood pressure or glucose) - The app reads and logs the data using advanced OCR and AI - Provides visual insights, trends, and alerts - Includes medication reminders - Works without showing any ads Offers generous free usage before prompting for any payment

Challenge

User Simplicity: Ensuring the app worked for people who aren’t tech-savvy, especially elderly or diabetic users. OCR Accuracy: Extracting consistent and accurate data from a variety of blood pressure and glucose monitors. Manual Entry Friction: Traditional apps require tedious manual input of multiple data points. Market Saturation: Standing out among numerous health tracking apps already on app stores. Ad-Free Monetization: Providing value without relying on ads.
